🎉 DIOP Turns 25! 🎉
Saturday, 14 June 2025 marked the grand finale of our 25th anniversary celebration series — a heartfelt lunch gathering filled with laughter, memories, and meaningful connections.
We warmly welcomed 50+ participants, including our 3 visionary co-founders — Prof Randy Chiu, Prof Jessica Kwong, and Prof Winton Au (also a former DIOP Chair) — and 4 former DIOP Chairs, among them Henry Chamberlain, Transformational Coach and Dr Austin Aloysius Tay CPsychol, FBPsS, FHKPS, FRSA, LLM, PCC, EIA, both past Presidents of HKPS, as well as Kin Chong U and Clara To.

Before we toasted to the next chapter of DIOP with the co-founders, both Prof Chiu and Prof Kwong gave congratulatory speeches:
With the quote ‘The sky is the limit’, Prof Chiu shared how he witnessed IO Psychology evolved from its narrower application to personnel contexts to a diverse application to work settings, including coaching, occupational health, and organisational changes.
Drawing upon stories of how our founding Chair, Dr Mary Lee, contributed to the growth of DIOP at initial phase, Prof Kwong reminded us of all the unsung heroes who cultivated DIOP over the years only out of a single reason — love.
With the help of a dedicated pro bono language editor, Andre Varella, we worked tirelessly to create a commemorative booklet capturing the past, present, and future of DIOP. Our volunteer MC Clifton Kwan and photographer Melvyn Lai have done an amazing job for our celebration as well, thank you!
